Novalogic recently posted this preview screen upon entering their website. There has been much speculation over whether Novalogic was currently working on a new game. Looks like this makes it official.

Encore Mall has been Under Construction for nearly 2 years now and the finishing touches are being applied for a "Grand Opening" in the next week or so.

This project was so large that it took many of people to be able to handle the mere size and detail that defines the Mall itself. There are over 10 different shops and 3 seperate levels complete with Bathrooms , Food Stores , a few Bars and an Arcade.

FPS-World would like to announce that we now support Call Of Duty 4, Crysis and Team Fortress 2.

To open these categories we have two new files available for download. The first being CP Castle by Vilepickle & the second file being Toy Fort Pack by Zeus_CST & Ares_CST.

So first up is CP Castle it’s game play is based off that of Dustbowl. The map has 3 areas of play, which are Attack & Defend. Red being the defenders & blue being the attackers.

Next up is the Toy Fort Pack the pack contains 3 versions of the map an Elite version that is based of the Beta2 version that has been running on TF2 servers, An easy version with timer, sudden death and less control points and finally a capture the flag version based of the control point version.

The Canadian Army has been exploring options to help train their officers using SWAT 4 for urban operations. Canadian Forces : Direct Action Mod is now being developed for that purpose and will be available to the SWAT 4 Community soon.



The Training Technologies section has conducted a gaming trial for the past several months. The purpose of the trial was to look at several Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) applications to determine where they can be used to improve individual training. In addition to programs, which have been created for the US Military, such as First to Fight for the USMC and Americas Army and Full Spectrum Warrior for the US Army the study looked at several games like SWAT 4, Battlefield 2, Steel Beasts, VBS 1 and Rainbow 6.








While each of these applications could be used to enhance training, there is no one application, which would be directly applicable to all of the schools in CTC(Combat Training Center). For example, Steel Beasts is a great-mechanized warfare simulator, but there are no dismounted urban operations within the game. SWAT 4 has a hyper realistic urban operations environment but there is no mounted simulation. VBS1 has both mounted and dismounted but the artificial intelligence is not suited for large-scale battles similar to what we can conduct on JANUS.
